A Mechanism for Delivering Evidence-based Strategies that will Effectively Reduce Hospital Costs and Deliver Improved Patient Outcomes

Participant hospitals in ISQIC will benefit from guided implementation components that include:

• Local Hospital Teams. Teams are identified by the participating hospitals and consist of a Surgeon Champion, Data Abstractor, and Quality Improvement Designee.
• Surgeon Mentor. Surgeon who has successfully led quality improvement projects and serves as mentor for local hospital teams.
• Process Improvement Teams. Trained in process improvement to coach hospital QI teams through QI/PI projects.
• Coordinating Center within ISQIC. Provides leadership and support staff for all aspects of ISQIC implementation.
• Site Visits. Scheduled on-site meetings with hospital and ISQIC leadership to discuss individual hospital strategies for improvement.
